A couple of weeks ago we helped Still Hope Foundation and ARDX present the Women’s Wellness Retreat.  The event, which occurred over a two-day period,  was created to help bring consciousness to women about taking care of their mind, body and spirit.

Day 1 of the Retreat consisted of Speed Mentoring in the morning.   I was fortunate enough to be one of the mentors for aspiring and new female entrepreneurs. Also on the mentoring panel were Angela Reddix (ARDYX), Cheryl Scott (Deadline), Sharon Johnson Clayton (Eddie’s Crab House), and Sheila Harrison ( Nauticus/Battleship Wisconsin).  The topic for the Speed Mentoring session was “Women in Business-Stress & Coping.”

The evening of Day 1 was capped off with Paint Nite.  Women were treated to appetizers and wine while learning the fine art of painting. This was an enjoyable evening for all of the attendees.

The second day of the retreat consisted of the expo, workshops , networking opportunities and a luncheon with keynote speaker Dr. Robin L. Smith.  Sandra Parker of WVEC-13 served as the Plenary Facilitator for the event. The event also played host to an awe-inspiring panel/workshop facilitators which included Cynthia Gossman, Dr. Eric Siegal, Dan Neice, MBA, CFP, Jessica Larche (WTKR/FOX), Dr. Sandra Swann, Benita Adams, Jill Nardin, LPC, and Penny Sanchez.  Hopefully the women and young girls that were in attendance walked away with tools that will provide a sense of balance for their every day lives.
