This weekend, I had the pleasure of being a part of the Brides Against Breast Cancer charity bridal gown sale. I currently serve as the City Coordinator for the event, and consider this event to be one the ones that I look forward to the most every year. Brides Against Breast Cancer contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families through their “Tour of Gowns” bridal shows around the country. It is a “win-win” situation as brides are able to purchase couture bridal gowns at savings up to 70% off of retail while helping a great cause!
The event was held the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Virginia Beach on Friday and Saturday and attended by over 100 bride-to-be and guests.wedding gowns were not the only attraction at the event, but local wedding vendors were also resent to help the ladies complete their wedding planning needs. The magazine sponsor for the event was Vow Bride magazine and companies that were present included Memorable Events by Apryl, LLC (of course), Isha Foss Events, Snapqube, Colonial DJ’s, It Works, Lia Sophia, Salon Noa, Rodan & Fields and Passion Parties by Tiffany.
I’m proud to say that the Hampton Roads area helped to raise over $10,000 for breast cancer programs via this event! Hopefully that number will increase with each event. Take a look at some photos that I snapped from the 2-day event below.
